On the afternoon of March 14, the Chinese Indonesian Association Hainan Office was officially inaugurated at Windows to Global Trade(Short as “WGT”) in Haikou. This activity is guided by Hainan International Economic Development Bureau(Hainan IEDB) and Federation Of Returned Overseas Hainan Province, hosted By the Chines Indonesian Association and WGT, co-sponsored by the Global Tech-Transfer Hainan Center. After the unveiling ceremony, the participants held discussions on cooperation opportunities in bilateral trade, agriculture, medicine, building materials and other fields between Hainan and Indonesia.

The event invited Huang Dexin, President of Chines Indonesian Association, Yang Shanhua, Deputy Director of Hainan IEDB, Huang Wenhui, Vice President of Federation Of Returned Overseas Hainan Province, Guo Peng, Director of Global Tech-Transfer Hainan Center, Wan Ming, Chairman of WGT and other relevant leaders and representatives to attend.

At the meeting, Huang Wenhui, Vice President of Federation Of Returned Overseas Hainan Province, Huang Dexin, President of Chines Indonesian Association, Wan Ming, Chairman of WGT, and Guo Peng, Director of Global Tech-Transfer Hainan Center, delivered speeches at the event, all of which said that Hainan FTP is stepping into a new stage of development rapidly and steadily, including the support and participation of overseas Chinese compatriots at home and abroad. Indonesia is the largest member of ASEAN. The Chines Indonesian Association is the most extensive and influential Chinese association in Indonesia. The completion of Hainan office will effectively promote and facilitate the participation of overseas Indonesian citizens in the construction of Hainan FTP, promote the complementary advantages and common development of the two places, and further promote the deepening and solid cooperation between Indonesia and Hainan.

During the event, General Chairman Huang Dexin, Deputy Director Yang Shanhua, Vice chairman Huang Wenhui and Chairman Wan Ming,  jointly unveiled the Hainan office of Chinese Indonesian Association.

In the exchange session, members of the Chines Indonesian Association introduced the study plan and cooperation needs of this visit, Hainan IEDB shared the business environment and development of Hainan FTP, WGT introduced the situation of enterprises, one-stop service platform, project cooperation cases, future investment plans, etc.

The participants exchanged views on bilateral trade, agriculture, medicine and building materials cooperation between Hainan and Indonesia. Members of the Chines Indonesian Association said that the Hainan FTP has multiple policy advantages and is very optimistic about the development prospects of Hainan, while Indonesia and Hainan are geographically close, hoping to use Hainan's strong conditions to drive Indonesia's industrial development and strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two sides.

WGT answered the specific questions raised by the members of the Chines Indonesian Association in detail, and introduced that the WGT, as an important platform for Hainan Provincial government to attract investment, will focus on the "Two Headquarters Bases" construction policy in 2023, while visiting Southeast Asia and Europe with provincial leaders, Hainan IEDB, Federation Of Returned Overseas Hainan Province and other investment teams. By focusing on building an international business opportunity docking platform and providing business process services, the company has strengthened close cooperation with overseas foreign business associations, and has set up business representative offices with 11 overseas foreign business associations, including the Indonesian Chinese Federation, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom, and the Malaysia-China General Chamber of Commerce. In the future, we will actively help Chinese enterprises and Indonesian enterprises to make two-way investment using the advantages of Hainan FTP, and take "expanding channels, building platforms and providing services" as the main line of work, so as to do a good job for the majority of foreign business associations and enterprises.

The completion of the Chines Indonesian Association Hainan Office has set up an exchange platform for the interaction, exchange and investigation, and business opportunity docking between enterprises of Hainan and Indonesia, which is an important milestone for the two sides to strengthen economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges, and international friendship, and has opened up broad prospects for the future cooperation and development of the two sides.
