To help Hainan build “Two Headquarters Bases” and promote international exchanges and business cooperation in Hainan Free Trade Port, Windows to Global Trade and UK Chinese Business Association jointly organized an online exchange meeting on September 3. The meeting centered on industrial development, exchange and cooperation and other topics for in-depth discussion.
Mr. Wan Ming, Chairman of Windows to Global Trade, Mr. Liu Xinyu, Executive Director of Windows to Global Trade, Mr. Yin Jie, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of UK Chinese Business Association and President of the British Youth Association, Mr. Zheng Rui, Secretary General of the British side of the 15th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention and Vice Chairman of UK Chinese Business Association, and Mr. Wu Yanwen, Deputy Secretary General of UK Chinese Business Association and Secretary General of the British Youth Association, participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, the persons-in-charge of Windows to Global Trade and UK Chinese Business Association introduced the background of the project and the Association’s establishment, operation history, development plan and positive impact respectively. The meeting further enhanced the understanding and awareness of both sides.
Wan Ming, Chairman of Windows to Global Trade, pointed out that with the continuous development of Hainan Free Trade Port, the demand for international exchanges is increasing, and in order to make cooperation more convenient and smooth, Hainan actively promotes and encourages overseas organizations and institutions to set up liaison offices and representative offices in Hainan. Windows to Global Trade, as the first carrier of Hainan's Project “Hundreds of Countries and Thousand of Enterprises ”, and the first gathering place in Haikou for overseas enterprise organizations and government agencies designated by Hainan Provincial Government, also the Incubation platform for global small and medium-sized trading enterprises, has the responsibility to provide services for the landing of the project in Hainan by UK Chinese Business Association. In the future, WGT expects to promote the mutual establishment of representative offices between Windows to Global Trade and the UK Chinese Business Association to strengthen the exchange of information between the two sides, reach an effective linkage, and help the UK Chinese Business Association to accelerate the layout and development of its enterprises in the Hainan Free Trade Port.
Mr. Liu Xinyu, Executive Director of Windows to Global Trade, said that enterprises can enjoy the following three advantageous services in the layout of the Hainan Free Trade Port. First, industrial information services, Windows to Global Trade can continue to provide enterprises with targeted industrial policy information. Second, the Windows to Global Trade "one-stop" business could provide enterprises services, including business registration, bookkeeping, a variety of industry qualifications, legal counseling, work visas, bank records and other business. Third, Hainan is focusing on the development and continue to strengthen the four leading industries such as tourism, modern service industry, high-tech industries and tropical characteristics of efficient agriculture. WGT believes that Hainan after the closure of the customs, its market vitality will continue to grow, the modern industrial system will accelerate the construction, which is more conducive to the British companies from the trade port landing layout.
Mr. Yin Jie, Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of UK Chinese Business Association, and other relevant officials said that since the Association’s establishment, the UKCBA has built a valuable platform for exchanges between entrepreneurs in the UK and China, as well as for cooperation between the two countries in the area of business and commerce. The establishment of representative offices between Windows to Global Trade and UK Chinese Business Association will be an initiative that combines the strengths of both sides and empowers each other. Through the feedback from UK Chinese Business Association, Windows to Global Trade will provide policy consultation, park inspection and business opportunity matching, as well as policy introduction and supply chain business promotion for different industrial categories of enterprises, so as to further promote cross-regional investment and layout of enterprises.
The meeting effectively explored the cross-regional cooperation and exchange mechanism, and provided good ideas for enterprises in two countries to realize the freedom and convenience of trade and investment. At present, Hainan is accelerating the construction of the "Two Headquarters Bases", under this opportunity, the Windows to Global Trade would like to actively play the role of the window of the Hainan Free Trade Port, continue to optimize the service platform, and strive to become a link between domestic and foreign markets, and support Chinese and foreign enterprises to seize the opportunity of the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
