On August 28th, The delegation of the Federation of Hainan Association Malaysia visited the WGT for research and participated in the second overseas Chinese community activity jointly organized by the Hainan Overseas Chinese Association and the WGT - the "Global Overseas Chinese Communities · the Federation of Hainan Association Malaysia Entering the Hainan FTP Symposium". It not only deepened the mutual understanding and cooperation between Hainan and Malaysia in the fields of economy, trade, and culture, but also injected new impetus into the "Global home of overseas Chinese businessmen" project jointly promoted by the Hainan Overseas Chinese Association and the WGT, and further promoted the construction of the "two headquarters bases" in Hainan.

By visiting the one-stop service center for investing in Hainan at the WGT, the "Global home of overseas Chinese businessmen" under construction, and the Maritime Silk Exhibition and Trading Center, the members of the delegation of the Federation of Hainan Association Malaysia not only firsthand experienced the efficient services and professional facilities of the Hainan FTP, but also deeply felt the sincere welcome and firm support from Hainan for overseas Chinese businessmen.

Vice Chairperson of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Chairman of the Hainan Overseas Chinese Association, Liang Mou, in his speech, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Federation of Hainan Association Malaysia for its long-term concern and support for the work of the ACFROC. He also emphasized that with the strong support of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and the People’s Government of Hainan Province, the Hainan Overseas Chinese Association is focused on building the "Global home of overseas Chinese businessmen" at the WGT, and its original intention and vision. Chairman Liang said that the Hainan Overseas Chinese Association will, as always, be committed to serving the vast number of overseas Chinese and businessmen, providing all-round support and guarantee for their investment and entrepreneurship in Hainan. At the same time, he introduced that Hainan will hold the "China Overseas Chinese Business Investment Conference" in 2025, and it is expected that through this grand event, it will further attract the attention of global overseas Chinese businessmen and promote the prosperous development of Hainan's economy.

Datuk Yang Kehao, the president of the Federation of Hainan Association Malaysia, expressed his expectations and confidence in the future development of Hainan FTP in his speech. President Yang said that through this visit, he deeply felt the vitality and potential of the Hainan FTP, and he looks forward to building a more solid connection for cooperation between Hainan and Malaysia through the joint efforts of both sides.

Subsequently, Liu Xinyu, the Executive Director of WGT, gave a promotional presentation, comprehensively introducing to the participating guests the construction of the "two headquarters bases" in Hainan FTP, as well as the policy advantages in terms of tax incentives, talent introduction, etc. He explained that there is extensive cooperation space and complementary advantages between Hainan and Malaysia in manufacturing, tourism, agriculture, marine economy, etc. The WGT looks forward to promoting the possibility of further cooperation between Hainan and Malaysia. Director Liu said that as an important business supporting project in the FTP, WGT has been committed to providing one-stop and all-round business services for domestic and foreign enterprises, and building an international business opportunity docking platform. At present, with the support of the Hainan Overseas Chinese Association, the project is actively building the "Global Home of overseas Chinese businessmen" to help global overseas Chinese and businessmen quickly landing in Hainan and sharing the development dividends of the FTP.

In addition, during the communication session, in-depth discussions among the participating representatives on topics such as language and culture, rural development, water conservancy and economy, which further broadened the horizons and ideas of both sides' cooperation. The promotion and dissemination of Hainan dialect through the new media of Hainan Minsheng Broadcasting of HBG not only contributes to the inheritance and development of regional culture, but also provides a more friendly cultural environment for overseas Chinese returning to Hainan. During the communication,The person in charge of the South China Regional Center of China Communications Yangtze River Construction Group introduced the group's main business and development plan. The WGT expressed its expectation to help Chinese enterprises invest in related water conservancy projects in Malaysia through the business opportunity docking platform in Hainan.

The Federation of Hainan Association Malaysia and WGT signed a cooperation agreement on setting up representative offices last year, and this event further promotes the implementation of it. Both sides expressed that they will take this event as an opportunity to further strengthen communication and collaboration, jointly explore more cooperation opportunities and development spaces, and contribute greater strength to the construction and development of Hainan FTP.
